Paid for by the Committee to Elect Brandon Rue

Dear Neighbor

Dear Neighbor,

Growing up in Mississippi, I have always heard my peers talk so much about how they want to leave Mississippi as soon as possible. I hear all the stories of people talking about how bad they think Mississippi is and how it will never get better. I don’t have that mindset. Mississippi is my home and I’m not willing to just pack up and leave. I have decided to run for State Representative House District 102 because its time for change here in Mississippi. We as a state have a lot of opportunities to grow and I am willing and ready to help us grow.

I am not a career politician or a partisan politics insider; I am a college student and a product of public schools and community mentors. During my time in college I have learned that not may of my peers have hope in Mississippi nor do they have hope in our government. Despite this unfortunate mindset I have worked hard to engage my peers and I now believe that the University of Southern Mississippi is seen as a University that votes!

Mississippi has a lot of opportunities to grow but we are not going to grow overnight. It is going to take time and its going to take us working together. We have to stop caring only about party politics and start talking about real issues. We have issues that everyone should be able to get behind. I am running for mental health funding and awareness. I am running for education reform in our state. I am running for equal rights for EVERYONE. It truly is time for change in Mississippi and we have to work together to create change.

From the very first day I announced my intention to run, I have been shown tremendous support and it is really humbling and appreciated. Your support has given life to our campaign and I ask that you continue to support us on this journey as we try to move Mississippi forward. It takes a village to create change, will you be apart of the village? There’s no more time to waste the time is now! Please feel free to message the campaign with any suggestions, questions or concerns. Your input is so important to us and we want to hear from you. Please join us on this journey for a better Mississippi and a better 102.  I am Brandon Rue YOUR candidate for House District 102.

Sister district Project

Since 2016

The Sister District Project works to turn states blue by winning state legislative elections. The “sister” volunteers from deep blue districts with carefully targeted races in swing districts, where flipping control of the state legislature will help end partisan gerrymandering. Sister District works to ensure that all Americans have equal representation and our government works for all people, not just the minority in power. The organize volunteers into local teams based on where they live, and “sister” this deep blue energy with swing districts across the country to support strategic state races that matter. Sister are open to volunteers and candidates of all genders.

Since 2017

At EveryDistrict, they believe that Democrats can run competitive campaigns in every district at the state level. Our mission is to rebuild the Democratic Party by winning power back at the state level through better data and better approaches to fundraising. EveryDistrict first set out to understand where there were competitive state legislative districts that Democrats could flip with the right investment and strategy. Unlike congressional races, no public database existed that provided a competitiveness ranking for every state legislative district. Starting with the Virginia House of Delegates, EveryDistrict’s first target chamber in 2017, EveryDistrict created the EveryDistrict “Legislative District Index” (LDI) to rank each of the 100 House of Delegate districts by their competitiveness.
